Chapters 7–12 form one unit of the Book of Isaiah often called “The Book of Immanuel.” This study focuses on the reign of Immanuel, a segment of that unit recorded in Isaiah 11:1–12:6. While the kingship of the Messiah is spoken of throughout the Scriptures of the Old Testament, this is one of the best passages. The key character throughout this section is indeed Immanuel in that His name is mentioned three different times in the Hebrew text.
